Walker County Animal Services includes Animal Control and the Animal Shelter. Although these two departments work together, they have entirely different functions. Animal Control responds to reports of stray animals, bite cases, aggressive animals, etc. The Animal Shelter is where animals are housed and cared for until they are reclaimed by their owners, adopted or rescued.
