There are a number of advisory boards, commissions and committees that assist the Walker County Board of Commissioners (BOC) by reviewing important subject matters to making recommendations to the BOC for action.
These groups vary in size and responsibility. Some are created for a specific length of time or purpose, while others are part of the framework of Walker County Government.
Many of these groups are comprised of community members and report directly to the BOC or individual county departments. However, some boards, commissions and committees require certain qualifications to serve.
